THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the written word of God. Because God never changes (James 1:17), we can trust His word completely and know that it is a constant source of truth for us in an ever-changing world (Ps 119:89).  We believe that the entire Bible is the living word of God, and it is God’s way to communicate with us.  It is the final authority on all things related to faith and life. (2 Tim 3:16-17)

The Bible tells us of one God who is the creator and sustainer of all things.  He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). It tells of God’s love for us and His desire to have a relationship with us, which is made possible through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

The Bible teaches about the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who took upon Himself true humanity when He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a perfect and sinless life, proving He is indeed the Son of God.  He willingly laid down His life on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and three days later, God raised Him from the dead! (John 1:1, Phil 2:6, Matt 1:23-25, John 3:16, 1 John 3:5, Eph 2:4-7). 

 

God’s plan of salvation and the person of the Lord Jesus Christ can be found in the pages of the Bible from the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation.
